  Inner self

Lavender is the color that that lives inside my heart
My mind is filled with images that some may consider art

My dreams are reflections of my abstract mind
I see with my soul as if I were blind

I listen to the poetic thoughts that dance through my brain
I feel my emotions, like flowers feel the rain

My soul is like a transparent lantern filled with colorful butterflies
If you look closely you may see the little girl who lives through my eyes

Riding the wave 

I just go with the flow as I ride the waves, but lately its been rough sailing
 Some times I feel like a part of me is failing


I continue riding the waves as I remind my self to keep inhaling

  I say to my self "get back up on that wave!
At times I feel I'm about to drown,  but I  continue to be brave

When I ride the waves I feel like a mermaid
 I feel so free
 For one moment I remember what it feels like to be me

I continue to swim as the turbulent waves bring me to shore
 I remind my self I'm strong as I dive right back in for more

My Grandpas last dieing words were put me in the tub so I can swim
That's all he ever wanted to do, and Dear Grandpa I will stay strong and continue riding the waves for you!
